The 16th meeting of ICVG was brilliantly organized by Dr  Elisabeth Boudon-Padieu and her colleagues of INRA Dijon and Colmar as well as of the University of Burgundy from 31 August to 4 September 2009 in Dijon, France. The venue was at Grand Dijon Community and Conseil Regional of Burgundy. Over 160 scientists from most of the viticulture regions around the world participated and shared their results at this very successful scientific meeting. Significant progress has been reported on the damages, nature, biology, epidemiology, diagnosis and the control of diseases caused by viruses and phytoplasma. Visits to vineyards and wineries enriched the stay in this renowned and historic wine region.
